..an intriguing look for a monk- rings on his fingers and a martial arts strength about him.
Have you come across 'Lamas, Princes and Brigands'?
Yes I have that book - which includes some of these pictures. The Buddhist monks at Champutong were aparently Naxi rather than Tibetans, so perhaps they retained some of the foppish airs of the Naxi gentlemen of the time.
