This is the inside of the Catholic church in Kangding. I was surprised to find that it was so, well... unsurprising. It could be a Catholic church anywhere. It had the stations of the cross, the shrine to Our Lady, uncomfortable pews.
It also had the usual lectern and microphone, like any other [western] church.
It was very peaceful inside.
The caretaker told me they had two local priests and a congregation of more than a thousand, mostly elderly locals.
